Our Mission

At Beyond Blood, our mission is to challenge and reform the outdated federal and state standards regarding Native American blood quantum requirements. These arbitrary measurements have historically marginalized Native American individuals by reducing their identity to a mere percentage, often failing to recognize the full extent of their heritage and cultural connection.

We aim to educate, advocate, and build a community around the idea that Native American identity should be acknowledged holistically. Our goal is to ensure that Native American individuals are recognized and respected for their cultural and ancestral ties without being subjected to these restrictive and often discriminatory standards.
